Hello and welcome to Safaris and Sunsets! I hope you enjoy reading this blog as much as I enjoy writing it.
I’m Sarah, a twenty-something Connecticut girl raised by an awesome family who loves all things life. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology/Sociology and a minor in Communications in May of 2012. While in college, I spent four months living in Bulgaria and attending the American University in Bulgaria. Needless to say, I fell in love with travel, culture and the idea of seeing the world. While abroad, I kept a blog documenting my travels mainly for my own personal enjoyment and to look back on later. Other than that, writing had never really been a large part of my life.
Until I met my boyfriend. Also a writer, he introduced me to this whole new idea of writing as a career and as a hobby. For that, I will never be more grateful.
We live a full and fun life, through the little everyday things like riding our bikes down our street, going on hikes, visiting local vineyards and writing all day long to the big adventures… the “safaris.”
Other than writing, I am lucky enough to nanny the two cutest baby boys on the planet and I love them to death. They make all the stupid stresses of life seem … well, stupid. They give me perspective.
So this blog is a blend of my passions. From travel to nature, world news to new cultures, my newly discovered reads to the foodie in me. It’s all about the big things to the small everyday adventures… like sunsets. Beautiful and unique yet an everyday occurrance.
